D-AKNQ began its journey in the skies back in 2000, taking off for the first time as N729US with US Airways. After five years of service across the United States, the aircraft crossed the Atlantic.
In 2005, joining Germanwings—where it received the airline’s iconic silver, purple, and yellow livery, a design that turned heads on every European apron.
In 2017, the aircraft found a new home within the Eurowings fleet, continuing to carry travelers across the continent with reliability and grace until 2020. After two decades of service and countless stories written above the clouds, D-AKNQ was retired and placed in storage. Two years after its final flight, it was ferried to St. Athan, where it was ultimately scrapped in 2023.
Today, a fragment of its fuselage lives on in your hands. Each tag bears the marks of real flight—unique surface details that tell its story of journeys past. A perfect collector’s item for aviation enthusiasts, travelers, and dreamers alike.
