Tinker Belle, officially registered as G-VBIG, was one of Virgin Atlantic’s most iconic Boeing 747-400s. Delivered brand new to the airline in 1996, this Jumbo Jet initially operated out of London Heathrow before later being transferred to Virgin Atlantic’s Gatwick base.

Over the decades, Virgin Atlantic became synonymous with the Boeing 747, operating a total of 29 of these legendary aircraft. The fleet included:
1 Boeing 747-100
15 Boeing 747-200s
13 Boeing 747-400s

Though Virgin Atlantic has since retired its fleet of 747s, these aircraft played a pivotal role in shaping the airline’s identity, offering passengers a world-class flying experience with signature innovation and style.

Tinker Belle's final journey took place in November 2019, when it was ferried from Gatwick to Kemble for storage. In 2020, the aircraft was dismantled, marking the end of an era for one of Virgin Atlantic’s most beloved Jumbos.
